Archaeological excavations at Letocetum have revealed evidence of a Roman settlement, including a bathhouse and a mansio (a type of Roman inn or hotel) that catered to travelers along Watling Street. The site also contained a temple dedicated to the Romano-Celtic god, Mithras.
Today, the remains of Letocetum are preserved at Wall Roman Site, located near the village of Wall, just a few miles southwest of modern-day Lichfield. The site offers insights into Lichfield's Roman history and provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the remains of the Roman settlement, including the bathhouse and other structures.
